    Highlighting fixed, cloud dictation, and Chrome launch

    • Highlights now actually save — a critical bug caused the selection to be cleared before the annotation was created. Fixed.
    • Highlights appear in the side panel the moment you create them, without reopening it.
    • Highlights survive SPA navigation (Twitter, GitHub, Next.js apps) and repaint reliably after hard refresh.
    • Search your highlights — type in the Highlights pane to filter by quote text or note.
    • Cloud dictation (Pro) — record a voice note in the Android editor and get a Gemini-powered verbatim transcript.
    • 🎉 Now available on Chrome Web Store — install on Chrome, Brave, Arc, Vivaldi, and Opera.
    • Fixed: Firefox — chrome.tabs.sendMessage and chrome.alarms.clear returned undefined instead of a Promise, crashing the highlight and auth flows.
    • Fixed: After signing in, the sidebar stayed stuck on 'Opening…' in Firefox — Firebase auth state now propagates correctly across extension contexts.
    • Fixed: Highlight error toast now shows when annotation creation fails, instead of silent failure.

    Sign in with email — SSO via account.luvia.page

    • Sign in with email and password — not just Google. The extension now authenticates through account.luvia.page.
    • Silent SSO: if you're already signed into Luvia Hub, the extension authenticates instantly with no sign-in screen.
    • After installing, the extension now opens the Luvia Web Clipper landing page instead of a separate welcome page.
    • Fixed: first-install tab opened extension.luvia.page/welcome (which no longer exists) — now correctly opens extension.luvia.page.

    Document PiP, voice capture, TTS, and tab-group research sessions

    • Pop any clipped article into a floating Picture-in-Picture window that stays visible while you switch tabs.
    • Voice capture — press ⌘⇧V, dictate, and Luvia clips or creates a flashcard from what you said.
    • Read articles aloud with one-click text-to-speech in the reading view.
    • Research sessions — Luvia auto-groups your clipping tabs into a named Chrome tab group and tracks them in a new Sessions panel.
    • URL-pattern templates: 12 sites (IMDb, GitHub, arXiv, YouTube, Wikipedia …) now extract structured metadata on clip.
    • Ask Luvia AI — right-click any selected text → instant contextual AI answer in the side panel.
    • Omnibox vault search now returns real clip results instead of a placeholder.
    • Right-click 'Save as flashcard' wired to the same generator as the toolbar button.
    • Side panel shows a toast when flashcards are created from the content-script toolbar.

    • Firefox users now receive silent, automatic updates — no reinstall needed for future releases.
    • Self-hosted update channel (luvia.page/firefox) means updates ship the moment we sign them, without waiting for AMO review.
    • Corrected the Firefox update manifest URL embedded in 2.0.0 — the previous build pointed to an unreachable endpoint, blocking auto-updates.
